Donald Trump built the modern marvel of Trump Tower adjacent to the Tiffany & Co. jeweler located at the corner of 5th avenue and 57th street in New York City way back in 1982.
And then 11 years later, he had a daughter with his second wife Marla Maples. They would name her Tiffany.
The millennial heiress is not as visible to the public as her older half-sister Ivanka, who is reportedly moving with husband and real-estate scion Jared Kushner to Washington in order to take a role at the White House as their father begins his effort to tap into American prowess and re-start the economy to complete his legacy.
For her part, Tiffany has no plans to join the parade in Washington and take part in politics. While she is close with Ivanka and lavishes her father with praise, she has a West Coast sensibility and is reportedly considering more time studying at an elite institution.
Here are three things to know about Tiffany Trump, the daughter from Trump’s second marriage:
She’s super close with mother Marla Maples
While the marriage between Maples and Mr. Trump didn’t last longer than six years, the pair brought Tiffany into the world just around the time he was penning “The Art of the Comeback” and growing his business portfolio throughout the world. “I had the blessing of raising her pretty much on my own,” her mother is on the record as saying. Maples and her daughter have since become a pair of best friends, and frequent high society galas together throughout the year.
But that doesn’t mean she has been devoid of having a father. When asked by the New York Times to chime in on a profile of the youngest Trump daughter on a fall day during the campaign, Trump sang her praises just as she had done for him in a display of trademark Trump family loyalty.
“Tiffany is a tremendous young woman with a big and beautiful heart,” he said. “She was always a great student and a very popular person no matter where she went. I am incredibly proud of Tiffany and how well she has done.”
She’s got Ivy League aspirations
With the Trump’s, the proof is in the pudding — put in the work, get the grades, and you’ll make a lot of money. At least that’s been the case so far after Ivanka and Don Jr. graduated from Wharton Business School like their father, and Eric earned his degree in finance and management from the illustrious Georgetown University.
Tiffany, partier as she may be, decided to move forward with plans to attend Harvard in her native state of California. That comes after she already earned a bachelor’s degree from Penn, and contemplated pursuing celebrity as a singer and musician.
She’s a runway model just like Ivanka was
After scoring an internship with Vogue (and thankfully not Vanity Fair), Tiffany made her first appearance as a runway model early in 2016 with a debut at New York Fashion Week.
Her mother was there in attendance to support the sunny Trump daughter, and her work for the Just Drew fashion line garnered praise in the celebrity gossip corner from the likes of Perez Hilton, People and Page Six.
Of her appearance at NYFW, Hilton said, “Tiff strutted her stuff down that catwalk like she’d been doing it for years.” That might be cause enough for an encore to the performance — and the celeb journals have also churned out rumors that she’s even been dining with the likes of industry mega star Anna Wintour. As if to downplay it, though, she assured us that “I’ll be taking the LSAT and then applying to law school within the next year.”
