The first VP debate was held this week, and pundits agree: Mike Pence won the night. Some even argue that he created an alternate reality, where Donald Trump doesn’t exist, and served as a reminder to those who needed it that the Republicanism of decades past still has a voice in this election.

However, there was one hiccup that Latinos were bound to take issue with.

And Ivanka Trump was back in the news in a weird twist that put her in contact with one of Donald’s favorite muses in the media: Rosie O’Donnell. What are the chances?

Here are the five craziest things that happened in the week of Oct. 3:

Although his boss claims to always be winning, Gov. Mike Pence is already leading in the race for president – for 2020. That’s according to a new poll released by Politico/Morning Consult the Friday after his first debate performance. Strangely enough, Trump claimed that as a win for himself, something Pence was happy to give to him.

“Mike Pence did an incredible job and I’m getting a lot of credit because that’s really my first so-called choice, my first hire as we would say in Las Vegas.”

‘To the taco truck’: Latino-Americans take issue with Pence comments

Some voters were not happy with Gov. Pence when he blasted Sen. Tim Kaine in the VP debate for bringing up “that Mexican thing again,” and took to social media to tell the world. In recent weeks, GOP officials have been trolled for comments over Mexican heritage, including one who fears taco trucks on every corner should Hillary get into the White House. Many have pointed out the hard labor that Latino immigrants take on, in addition to the imported cultural aspects Americans enjoy, and a new poll suggests Hillary will win this demo in one of the biggest lopsided victories of all time.

It might’ve cost Hillary Clinton points when her husband, the 42nd president of the United States, made some snide remarks this week about Obamacare – a legacy block of Obama’s tenure in office, and something Hillary hopes to build upon to make sure every American is covered with insurance.

“You’ve got this crazy system where all of a sudden 25 million more people have health care and then the people who are out there busting it, sometimes 60 hours a week, wind up with their premiums doubled and their coverage cut in half,” he said. “It’s the craziest thing in the world. It doesn’t make any sense”

Of all people in New York, Ivanka runs into … Rosie?

Rosie O’Donnell came face to face with the spawn of her nemesis, Ivanka Trump, in a truly strange turn of events barely a week after The Donald brought her up (again!) at a presidential debate performance watched by nearly 80 million people.
